One family’s recipe for success enjoyed by families around the world

There is so much joy to be felt as a child grows and learns. Every step is as new for a parent as it is for a child. No one understands this better than family-owned business, Bobux International.  “At Bobux, we believe that each step should be fun and easy, reminding parents of the absolute wonder of being a child,” said Chris (owner and director of Bobux).

In 1991 after the umpteenth lost booty, designers and parents of then nine-month-old Chloe, Chris and Colleen Bennett took matters into their own hands and invented the unique elastic ankle leather shoe – soft sole. Untied laces led to the now global success story, Bobux International, a leading innovator in children’s footwear from New Zealand.

Since then, Bobux welcomed more innovators and creators into the team, and has created products that make life fun and joyful for both parents and children, as they take those all important first step together. They believe that “Life should be fun”, and make the ‘learning to walk’ milestone a positive experience, with their lively, fun, safe and high-quality foot-health centric design shoe range – Soft Soles for little ones, Step Ups for first walkers, and I-Walk for toddlers. Step Ups gave first walkers more flexibility for their softer, more malleable feet, while I-Walks are designed with more durability for toddlers’ stronger, more active feet. Kid+, for older kids, are designed for natural movement with more durability, and a built on custom lasts that follow the more mature curves of their feet.

A strong belief in innovation and the environment also plays a significant role in the Bobux philosophy.  Since the company started, Chris and Colleen have not sat still, whether it is finding new ways to aid in children’s walking development, or building a set of environmentally friendly principles.
